Day 1: Arrival Nairobi, Transfer House of Waine

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met and assisted to transfer to House of Waine. Immersed in the leafy surrounds of Kenya’s beautiful Karen Forest is the elegant House of Waine – an upmarket retreat, which offers guests intimacy and superb accommodation. Days 2-3: Amboseli National Park, Angama Amboseli

Aftre breakfast, You will transfer to the Wilson Airport for your flight to Amboseli National park. Days 4-5: Samburu National Reserve, Saruni Samburu

The next leg of your African safari will bring you to the Northern Frontier District in Kenya, where you will continue to a spectacular wildlife encoutner in Samburu National Reserve. The rugged landscape and palm-fringed river provide seclusion from the outside world, allowing you and your family to unwind and disconnect while soaking up the sunshine. Shortly after arriving, you will join a knowledgeable ranger for a tour of the surrounding bush, following trails to river banks and grasslands where you may spot iconic beasts such as lions and leopards.

Birdsong will chime in a new day this morning as the chirping grows louder from the nearby trees, signaling Samburu fluttering to life. After breakfast, your experienced ranger will pull up in a 4x4 vehicle and whisk you away into the wilderness to discover more of Samburu and Buffalo Springs Game Reserve. During your adventures across dry river beds, up gaunt hills, and along luxuriant pastures, you may chance upon Samburu’s iconic Special Five. The quintet of creatures is found nowhere else in Kenya and constitutes Beisa Oryx, Reticulated Giraffe, Somali Ostrich, long-necked Gerenuk, and Grevy’s Zebra.

You will check out of your camp this morning after breakfast and transfer to the airstrip to catch your light aircraft flight to the famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve, a world-famous reserve consisting of vast, open savannas, riverine forests, and rolling emerald hills. For many, Maasai Mara’s unique landscapes are the ultimate symbol of the African wilderness. Horizons flooded orange by the falling African sun create silhouettes of buffaloes and giraffes against a backdrop of acacia trees peppering vast open plains. These are the postcard scenes that will seduce you during your stay in one of Africa’s most famous wildlife parks. After checking into your exquisite lodge or campsite suite, you will explore the wilderness circling your base to view the curious creatures hiding beyond the low-hanging shrubbery and tall trees dotting Maasai Mara’s unfolding savanna. Maasai Mara is a large game reserve with an abundance of animals and plenty of spectacular wilderness scenes to explore during your stay, meaning a full-day game drive will allow you to discover as much of the reserve as possible.
